T he Riff Mountain is ARTE’s first project on Fortnite. Discover a new type of cultural event: a dedicated island that extends the Hellfest experience and universe in an immersive and gamified way. An experience co-produced by ARTE France and SoWhen? – The CreaTech Company and hosted on Fortnite, soon accessible worldwide on all devices: consoles, PCs and smartphones. Every 666 years, The Riff Mountain rises from the earth and allows humans to access supernatural powers through a securely locked portal. To open this portal, players have no choice but to call upon the power of metal. Several challenges and puzzles enable them to collect decibels, the fuel for the huge machinery that metalheads have built over time. All this energy will be concentrated and offered to the Riff Divinity, a huge automaton statue that is the only thing capable of unlocking the interdimensional portal. But divisions within the metal family have created four clans, each of them determined to achieve this power according to their own vision and style. Players can choose a clan, activate their aura and venture into the various quests and trials they will face deep within the mountain. At the crossroads of myth, gameplay and music, ARTE Riff Mountain offers an immersive, collective narrative experience in which each player helps to write a legend set to the rhythm of metal.
